TurboClip is a privacy-first clipboard manager for macOS. We believe your clipboard data is personal and sensitive, so we have designed TurboClip to keep your data completely private and secure.

Our Privacy Commitment

We do not collect, transmit, or have access to any of your data.

TurboClip operates entirely on your device. Your clipboard history, saved clips, templates, and settings never leave your Mac.

TurboClip does not use third-party AI services or APIs. All intelligence features use Apple's on-device Foundation Models framework.

Data We Do NOT Collect

TurboClip does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

Analytics or usage statistics
Crash reports
Personal information
Clipboard contents
IP addresses
Device identifiers
Location data
Cookies or tracking data

Network Access

TurboClip does not require or use internet access.

The app is completely offline and does not:

Send data to external servers
Connect to third-party services
Track your usage
Display advertisements
Auto-update without your permission

The only network access is for App Store updates (handled by macOS) and optional CLI installation via Homebrew/GitHub (user-initiated).

TurboClip requires minimal permissions to function. You control these in System Settings.

Data Retention

Ephemeral Clipboard History

You control how long temporary clipboard items are kept:

24 hours (default)
1 week
1 month
3 months
Forever

Change this in Settings → Features → Retention Period

Persistent Clips

Clips you explicitly save with tags or pins are kept forever until you delete them.

Clearing Data

Clear Ephemeral: Settings → Clear Ephemeral History
Delete All: Uninstall and delete ~/Library/Application Support/TurboClip/

Your Rights

You have complete control over your data.

Access all data in ~/Library/Application Support/TurboClip/

Export clips and templates manually

Clear history or uninstall at any time

Disable features (AI, clipboard monitoring, etc.)
